about
Recorded outside Bogalusa and within the fragrance ring of the International Paper factory, this one was cut live off the floor with no fancy additives. This was our second session at Studio in the Country and followed the sad day when a poor woman ran her F-150 into a nearby telephone pole and blew up the transformer (which landed on the truck). This event denied electricity to the neighborhood and left the band confused in a dark, eccentrically shaped building with no windows. We were told the woman survived the impacts.
lyrics
Darling (I guess) our Time is at Hand
It’s clear we must abandon this Plan
I’m weak why don’t you make a stand
That’s me selling out on the Strand
(It’s clear we must abandon this plan)
I feel the pulse of the night
Please don’t expose me to light
I’ll fail but first I will fight
Why must the wrong always be right?
The sky it came completely apart
Your blind if you think this is art
The sea man it ain’t gonna part
But I have
Your Best Interest at Heart
I can’t turn this shit into gold
These dreams man they’re gettin’ old
You cold baby your awful cold
Why can’t you do, just do what your told
I feel the pulse of the night
Please don’t expose me to light
I’ll fail but first I will fight
Why must the wrong always be right?
